The program will consist of case-based panel discussions featuring local doctors and researchers, including University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center researcher Lani Park, PhD, and various doctors from Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, The Queen’s Health System, Adventist Health Castle, and Straub Medical Center. The panels will address key aspects of care for patients with early-stage, locally advanced, and metastatic lung cancer and will be moderated by lung cancer expert co-chairs David Gandara, MD, Roy Herbst, MD, PhD, and Heather Wakelee, MD.

Participants in this conference will have a unique opportunity to bring best practices back to their institutions and broaden their network with other experts in their field. “This conference is an excellent opportunity to learn about the current treatments in lung cancer from world-renowned lung cancer oncologists. This is of particular importance given it's the second most common cancer in men and women of Hawaiʻi,” said Dr. Park.

The conference is targeted toward medical oncologists and practitioners of oncology subspecialties, along with surgeons, radiologists, general scientists, young investigators, nurses, and pharmacists with an interest in lung cancer. Other healthcare professionals interested in the treatment of these cancers are also invited to participate.
