University of Hawaiâ€˜i Cancer Center Hosts Cancer Survivors Day Event
HONOLULU â€“ Join experts from the University of Hawaiâ€˜i Cancer Center for an education event highlighting the impact of research on improving survival and the quality of life of those diagnosed with cancer. Quest for a Cure: Progress in Cancer Research will be held Saturday, June 11 from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and a continental breakfast will be served. The cost is $10.00. Hawaii News Now Anchor Keahi Tucker will host.
Attendees will hear a panel discussion on the role of research in improving treatment, care, survival, and quality of life for cancer patients. They'll also chat with the experts during a question and answer session designed to increase awareness about research to find a cure.
